Harlequins Women are delighted to confirm that Izzy Mayhew and Rosie Dobson have both re-signed with Harlequins Women ahead of the 2021/22 Allianz Premier 15s season.
Mayhew featured in the Famous Quarters nine times throughout the 2020/21 season and will be looking to kick on as Quins aim to defend their Allianz Premier 15s title.
Speaking after re-signing, Mayhew said: “I’m really excited to re-sign with Harlequins! Over the last few seasons everyone at the Club has helped me develop a huge amount as a player and I can’t wait to carry on my journey at Quins. This season I want to be involved as much as possible in the matchday squads and become the best player I can possibly be!”
Dobson, who ran out six times for Quins in the 2020/21 title winning season is excited to re-sign for the South West London side.
The young hooker said: “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to be able to continue my journey with Harlequins Women. I can’t wait to carry on developing my skills and keep working on different aspects of my game. I’m excited to be back training with the girls and I can’t wait for the season to begin!”
Head Coach Gerard Mullen added: “Izzy’s development last year was outstanding. She is now a competent centre at this level and is another member of the squad who I feel Quins can develop into a great player and I’m excited to see how far she can go in her rugby career.
“We’re blessed to have a number of quality hookers at the Club. Rosie is very young and had a great season last year. She will keep learning and developing as a player and will eventually grow into a great forward for Harlequins.”
