Bradford Bulls’ Provident Stadium will host a day of firsts on Sunday 31st July as the the 2016 Women’s Challenge Cup & Challenge Shield Finals Day take place.
The Women’s Challenge Shield will kick off proceedings at 1pm, with Whitley Bay Barbarians taking on Thatto Heath-St Helens Reserves.
Then, at 3pm, Thatto Heath could be set for a remarkable double as their First Team face off with Leigh Miners Rangers.
The Miners (pictured above) won the Shield last year , and will be hoping to spoil the party and to go a step further as they take part in their first-ever Challenge Cup final.
Meanwhile it is the first time one club will be represented by two teams on Finals Day, terrific achievement from Thatto Heath.
It will also be a historic day for Whitley Bay, who are the first North East club ever to reach a Women’s Rugby League final.
Entry to the day is just £4 for adults, with concessions £2.
