England Women Sevens finish seventh in Langford

England Women Sevens finished seventh at the HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series in Langford following their 29-24 win over Fiji in the seventh place play-off. In their cup quarter-final game against New Zealand England produced a battling display losing narrowly 12-17. They then faced Canada in the fifth place semi-final, but went down 12-35

England Women Sevens will face New Zealand in the Cup quarter-final at the HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series in Langford, Canada. In their pool opener against Fiji, despite England taking the lead with their first attack of the game, the Pacific Island side ran in four tries in a 14-24 win. England were beaten by pool winners
