Liverpool shocked by Sunderland

Defending Women’s Super League champions Liverpool Ladies were narrowly defeated 2-1 by Sunderland in the opening game of the season at the Select Security Stadium in Widnes on Wednesday night. Liverpool debutant Satara Murray got her name on the scoresheet for the hosts but it wasn’t enough to overcome the side from the north east.

Heather Knight wins Australian T20 Award
