Heather Knight wins Australian T20 Award

  • +1

Heather Knight’s decision to travel to Tasmania and ply her craft for the Tasmanian Roar during the winter months has proved to be a wise one.  Not only has she picked up invaluable experience, the International all-rounder has also been named WT20 player of the year in Australia for her fine performances for the club. Knight’s consistency earned her 5 half centuries in 10 innings making her 3rd top run scorer and she took 6 wickets along the way.

Knight was also named in the ACA WT20 All Star Team of the Year, quite an accolade. Not surprising then that she was a key player for England during their successful tour of New Zealand earlier this year.

The England vice-Captain will shortly be travelling with England women’s cricket pathway Sri Lanka to take part in an intensive twelve-day batting and spin bowling development camp in Colombo.
