Jay Tregonning has announced the names of 32 Wallaroos to appear in the Pacific-Four series next month. (See list and fixtures below).
The squad has even less test level experience than the Black Ferns when they undertook their northern tour last year. The two nations meet in the opening round of the tournament.
There was disquiet as the Japanese Sakura team defeated Australia 12-10 away from home. It undid the good work of the win over Fijiana (36-19).
The Wallaroos’ results against their three opponents are not encouraging. They have not beaten the Black Ferns in nineteen attempts and the Maple Leafs in three. They have defeated the Eagles once in five tests.
Tregonning has made just one change, introducing Bree-Anna Cheatham who returns from injury.
