  • +1

Loughborough Lightning today confirm that assistant coach Charlie Beckett has left the Club with immediate effect.

Beckett joined Loughborough for his first full-time coaching position in the summer of 2024, following his retirement from playing professional rugby.

The 29-year-old will pursue a new coaching role away from Loughborough, and the Club opted not to apply his notice period.

Head coach Nathan Smith said: “I’d like to thank Charlie for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future.”

Lightning will prepare for their final game of the 2024/25 Premiership Women’s Rugby season under the team of Smith, Matt Campbell and player/coaches Emily Scarratt and Rachel Malcolm.

Loughborough round out their campaign against Trailfinders Women on Friday 21 February (kick-off: 7.45pm) at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.

With thanks to Loughborough Lightning
