Host Cities all set to welcome the stars of UEFA Women’s EURO 2022
• UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 has taken over Host City welcome signs to celebrate the arrival of the national teams taking part in this summer’s tournament
• The signs, bespoke to each location, have been installed in all of England’s nine host cities and will be in place for the duration of the tournament

UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 has taken over traditional welcome signs across England as the tournament’s host cities get ready to welcome the 16 teams taking part in this summer’s competition.
The tournament is expected to be the biggest women’s sporting event in European history with many of the world’s greatest female footballers taking part.
Nine host cities including Brighton & Hove, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Rotherham, Sheffield, Southampton, Trafford and Wigan & Leigh will play host to 31 games, throughout July.
The new UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 roadsigns showcase the national flags of the teams competing in each city and will be in place for the duration of the tournament. The signs have been installed on key routes, in preparation for the biggest celebration of women’s football in European history.
With over 450,000 tickets sold, even before a ball is kicked, this year’s event has already surpassed the previous tournament record of 240,045 set in the Netherlands (2017).
Ahead of the opening match at Old Trafford on 6 July, fans across England are being encouraged to welcome and embrace all the teams arriving in the country.

We have an exciting few weeks ahead and a fantastic opportunity for football fans to experience some of the world’s very best players on their doorstep. As we look ahead to the opening match, excitement across the country is growing at an incredible rate. Anyone who hasn’t got a ticket still has a chance to get involved and show their support for what is already a huge history-making moment for women’s football.”
