Yeovil Town Ladies intermediate player, Terri Trowbridge has been selected to be part of the flag bearing party at the UEFA Champions League Final
Yeovil Town Ladies intermediate player, Terri Trowbridge has been selected to be part of the flag bearing party at the UEFA Champions League Final at Cardiff City Stadium, on 3rd of June.
Terri is a Yeovil Town local and has been part of the club for many years, having played for all teams since the age of seven. However, since joining the Army almost five years ago as a Human Resources Specialist, she has found it hard to commit and therefore has played one season for the intermediate team.
The versatile player, who can play centre midfield or full back was part of the intermediate team’s recent successes in gaining another promotion and being crowned South West Women’s Football League cup champions. The twenty-four-year old also plays for the British Army football team and the Combined Services football team.
The selection for the fantastic opportunity of being a flag bearer at the Women’s Champions Final came through the Army FA and Trowbridge was lucky enough to be offered the honour.
On being selected, Terri said: “To be asked to be part of the flag bearing party is a huge honour.
“Not only do I feel I’m representing my country, my sport and the British Army, but I also feel I’m representing the football club I’ve been a part of since I was 7 years old
“I’m very proud to be a part of the event and grateful for this opportunity”
The final will be on Saturday 3rd June (kick-off 19:45) in Wales for the first time, at Cardiff City Stadium. Holders Real Madrid take on Juventus, just two days after the Women’s decider of Lyon v Paris Saint- Germain
Tickets for the Women’s final are still available and can be purchased here: www.uwclf2017.co.uk
