Women’s Weekly Round up 26th March
On Sunday Featherstone Rovers Ladies hosted Bradford Bulls and it was the travelling side that took the spoils winning 40-24. Bradford’s Amy Hardcastle scored a hat-rick of tries and there further tries for Charlotte Booth, Savannah Andrade, Claire Garner, Aimee Staveley and Rhiannon Marshall. Claire Garner added four goals.
Rovers’ Sarah Dunn scored twice and there was one try each for Kayleigh Bulman, Jasmine Hazel and Tilly Churm. Katie Cooper Birkenhead added two goals.
Batley Bulldogs were at home to Oulton Raidettes Oulton impressed to win 38-16.
The final game of the weekend saw another away win. Leigh Miners Rangers were at home to Castleford Tigers Ladies and Castleford dominated throughout to win 56-0. Ten Castleford players were on the scoresheet with one try; Katie Hepworth, Ellie Lamb, Georgie Hetherington, Shanelle Mannon, Kelsey Gentles, Lucy Eastwood, Emma Ryan, Jasmine Earnshaw, Emma Lumley and Sammy Watts. Katie Hepworth added 8 goals to cap an impressive performance.
