Southern Vipers vs Western Storm – at Southampton, Hants (Utilita Bowl) on 30 May 2024 at 13h00 (double-header)

Australian all-rounder player Charli Knott (pictured) took a 4-fer (4/23) for Vipers against Storm. With level-pegging scores until mid-way through Storm’s reply, keeper Rhianna Southby took two stumpings. Her second followed next-ball by Skipper Adam’s catch that placed Charli Knott on a hat-trick. Five overs later, Rhianna Southby took a third stumping from Charli Knott’s bowling. Commentator added that chalked-up Charli Knott’s 4-fer, producing her best t20 bowling figures-to-date on UK soil. Also said to ‘change the course of the game’ as Storm’s ‘wheels started to come off.’ Separately, during the penultimate over, Charli Knott’s throw to Mary Taylor at the non-striker’s end ran-out fellow Australian Amanda-Jade Wellington; who’d earlier taken a 3-fer for Storm. Finally, Charli Knott took the match-winning catch from Skipper Adams’ final ball, to secure a third win for the double-defending champions. Storm meanwhile find themselves placed second-to-last to Diamonds, who have a game in hand with identical net-run-rate (at time of writing.)
