Harlequins Women’s Head Coach Amy Turner has named her side to face top of the table Gloucester-Hartpury at The Stoop on Sunday. Third-place Quins will be looking to topple an unbeaten Gloucester-Hartpury side in one of the most hotly anticipated fixtures in the Allianz Premier 15s calendar.
Harlequins’ front row is bolstered by England hooker Amy Cokayne who returns to the starting 15 for her first game since her hat-trick performance against Bristol in December. Hannah Sims makes her first start for the Club at prop, having signed from Bristol earlier this month.
Both the second row and back row remain unchanged from the side that claimed a 0-71 victory over Wasps last Saturday.
In the backs, Emily Scott is named as captain and will start at fly half alongside Lucy Packer at scrum half. Izzy Mayhew shifts to outside centre, and will partner Lagi Tuima in the midfield. Ellie Kildunne will look to continue her form from last week, having scored four tries during Quins’ victory over Wasps.
England International Abby Dow is in line to make her debut for Harlequins, having been named to start on the left wing. Dow joined Quins from Wasps earlier this month, and previously represented England in the 2021 Rugby World Cup. Known for her electric pace and try scoring form, Dow completes a back line that will no doubt have the Stoop crowd on the edge of their seats on Sunday.
Amy Turner said: “We’ve built some fantastic momentum with wins over Bristol and Wasps, the team are in a good place going into what will be a huge challenge against Gloucester-Hartpury.
“We relish battles like this, with the opportunity to face an unbeaten side. They’re the team to beat in the league, and on Sunday we get our chance to show what we can do against them.”
