Harlequins Women Head Coach Gerard Mullen has made seven changes to the starting XV for Quins’ trip to Coventry as they take on Wasps in Round 16 of the Allianz Premier 15s.
There is a whole new front row as Sheree Cooper, Davinia Catlin and Shaunagh Brown all start. After four weeks out Fi Fletcher returns into the second row to mark her 80th appearance in the Famous Quarters.
Scotland international Jade Konkel is back in at blindside flanker following her victory out in Dubai last Friday, sending Scotland to the World Cup in New Zealand later this year.
In the back line, Rachael Burford and Emily Scott are slotted back in at inside centre and fullback respectively following strong cameos off the bench last week against DMP Durham Sharks.
Harlequins face a tough trip to the Midlands on Saturday to take on fifth place side Wasps and the Head Coach is fully aware at the task at hand.
“We’ll be welcoming some players back into the squad which will give us a boost and keep confidence in camp high, but they’re a side that are now picking up some good results and winning momentum alongside welcoming back some really key players for them. We know this is a big game for Wasps, but it’s also a huge game for us. It’s been a busy last six weeks and our aim is to deliver our best performance from this block of fixtures on Saturday.”
