Harlequins Women have today confirmed the signing of USA international Jenny Kronish.

The 6ft 2in second row joins Quins after making her international debut against England in November last year at Sixways Stadium.

A Harvard University graduate, Kronish was a successful football and softball player during her days at high school, which included being invited to the Israel U19 national team before taking rugby up aged 19.

Speaking about her move to South West London, Kronish said: “I feel very privileged to join such a storied programme like Harlequins – it feels surreal. Their work and dedication to further Women’s rugby on and off the pitch is unprecedented and admired around the world.

“I know the high-performance environment will give me the best opportunity to hone my skills both for the end of the Premier 15s season and heading into a World Cup. My USA teammates have nothing but good things to say about the competitiveness and prestige of the league, I can’t wait to join the party. Let’s go Quins!”

Head Coach Gerard Mullen added: “We’ve been looking to bring in a specialist second row for a period of time now. We’ve been speaking to Jenny over in America and I think she fits the bill. Jenny has a great profile and is a player who has a lot of potential in the game. I think everyone at Quins will really develop her into a strong player and we’re really looking forward to having her on board!”

With thanks to Harlequins
