GB Sevens can confirm their participation in ‘Quest for Gold Sevens’ in Los Angeles (25-26 June).
Both the men’s and women’s GB Sevens squads will travel to Dignity Health Sports Park, Carson for the pre-Olympic tournament and their final preparation event ahead of Tokyo.
Hosts USA, Argentina, Kenya and Korea make up the men’s tournament teams while the women will take on Kenya, USA and Jamaica.
The tournament follows GB’s recent International Rugby 7s tournament at St. George’s Park and HPC International 7s trip to Ireland where both teams gained valuable game time.
The Quest For Gold Sevens official match schedule, broadcast and live stream information will be confirmed and communicated in due course.
Team leader Charlie Hayter said: “We’re really pleased to be taking GB Sevens to LA for this crucial preparation tournament.
“The opportunity for our teams to face quality opposition only a month away from the Games is a vital step on our Olympic journey.
“USA are always fantastic hosts, put on a great show and we’re looking forward to running out at Dignity Health Sports Park.”
