Wasps take on Exeter in crucial clash of the season

Last week saw a momentous event at Twyford avenue when Wasps beat Saracen’s in a nail biting performance- the first win over the north London team in over three years. Premier 15s man of the match, Meg Jones,  stole the show for the first half securing 11 points for the team- just one short of the opposition. But it was the speed and skill of winger Abby Dow who carried the team to a 26-24 victory with two tries in the second half. 

This week Wasps welcome Exeter Chiefs to Twyford Avenue for the first time in the Premier 15s competition. In their last encounter Wasps beat Exeter by 10 points- the team will be looking for a crucial repeat performance this weekend with Exeter sitting in 5th place behind Wasps in the table.

Mather names three changes to her starting forwards pack- Millar Mills returns to the second row with Burton and McMahon returning in the six and eight shirt respectively to make up the back row alongside Kabeya.

The back line up remains as it was, lead by Captain Alder at 12 and Jones inside her at 10. Amongst the replacements you have the experience of Mitchelson for the forwards and Nye as replacement scrum half ready to make an impact in the later stages of the game.

The game will be played strictly behind closed doors in line with Covid regulations, however reserve your comfiest sofa seat as the game will be streamed live!
