DMP Durham Sharks’ 2020/21 Round 8 Allianz Premier 15s match against Gloucester-Hartpury Women’s RFC has been postponed.
The decision to postpone the fixture, originally due to take place on 12 December, has been taken by the RFU following the postponement of DMP Durham Sharks’ fixture v Sale Sharks Women last weekend. This was after three DMP Durham Sharks players tested positive for Covid-19 and several other players were isolating as close contacts.
A further 10 DMP Durham Sharks players have tested positive for Covid-19 and a total of 13 are isolating as close contacts.
The decision follows the detailed medical protocols in place to ensure that the health and wellbeing of all players and support staff is protected.
The Disputes Committee met and agreed that the two fixtures should be re-arranged to the next available weekends which are as follows:
