Jamaica finished fifth and Uganda earned their highest ever placing of seventh during the penultimate session of the Vitality Netball World Cup today.
The Sunshine Girls – ranked second in the world – had endured a disappointing campaign, missing out on the semi-finals for the first time since 1995, but ensured they finished on a high with a 68-50 win over Malawi.
Earlier on, Uganda won the all-African clash with tournament debutants Zimbabwe to claim their best World Cup result.

The Vitality Netball World Cup concludes this afternoon, when the world champions will be crowned. New Zealand and Australia will meet in the final at 4:45pm, while the bronze medal match will be contested by England and South Africa at 2:30pm.
