Durham Women FC are delighted to announce the signing of Sunderland Ladies defender Becky Salicki ahead of the 2016 season.
After injury plagued her last two seasons, Salicki is back fit and raring to go ahead of the Wildcats’ season start in March.
Salicki, 23, has spent the vast majority of her career at Sunderland Ladies while also enjoying a spell in Iceland with Grindavik in 2012.
A versatile defender, Salicki will add some experience to the Wildcats backline and will give the coaching staff numerous options. Speaking after joining the club, Salicki said: “I’m excited to be signing for the club and I really can’t wait to get started.
“It’s an excellent opportunity for myself and I hope I can help to carry on the brilliant job the girls have already being doing in WSL 2 and push for a promotion challenge.”
