It was a really close affair when Featherstone Rovers hosted Bradford Thunderbirds, in the end the home side had the edge to grab the win 22-16. Featherstone’s Hannah Bairstow led the way with two tries and there were further tries for Emily Rudge and Mags Lowish. Katie Cooper-Birkenhead converted two goals. Bradford battled throughout scoring tries through Dani Bose, Manina Spurr and Lois Forsell, Jess Courtman added two goals. The win today for Featherstone means a hugely impressive 14 wins from 14 in the league.
On Sunday Selby Warriors welcomed Wigan St Patricks and the home side battled hard to earn a 26-4 win. Selby’s tries came from Ash Hyde, Meg Summers, Yaz Copeland and Georgia Cutt. Yaz Copeland and Hayley Gledhill both converted one each and Copeland also added a penalty kick to her tally for the afternoon.
Oulton Raidettes were also at home on Sunday, they welcomed Leigh Miners Rangers and they too earned a 22-4 win. Oulton’s Vanessa Harriman, Steph Geldard, Danielle Anderson and Hayley Appleyard all crossed for a try each. Chloe Pickersgill added two goals.
