On Sunday Stanningley Ladies hosted West Craven Warriors and the home side produced an outstanding performance to seal a 102-8 win. Nine players crossed the whitewash for the home side with Vicky Pinks leading the way with five tries. There were a further two tries for; Alicia Watson, Sophie Robinson, Sarah Lovejoy, Denika Prim and Hannah Robinson. Larissa Deaves, Rachel Barker and Jess Malik all scored one each and Tasha Gaines landed 15 successful goals.
Featherstone Rovers journeyed to Wigan St Patricks and it was the travelling side who earned a 40-11 win.
Normanton Knights were at home to Oulton and the home side worked hard to earn a 42-14 win. Normanton’s Katie Hepworth and Grace Winter both scored two tries each and there were also tries for; Nat Carr, Marie Colley, Claire Hunter and Chloe Brown. Hepworth added further to her tally with five goals. Oulton battled hard throughout and earned tries for Mary Tiplady, Steph Geldard and Nat Collins but on the day the side had the edge and grabbed the deserved win.
It was a tough game at Brighouse Ladies as they welcomed Leigh Miners Rangers, both sides gave their all with Leigh Miners emerging victorious 34-18. Leigh Miners Georgia Sutherland scored twice for the winners, with further tries for Rhianne Boag, Rachel Ogden and Sarina Tamoa. Leigh’s Emily Mullen five goals.
Thatto Heath St Helens were also at home this weekend, they welcomed Bradford Thunderbirds and in a fantastic performance Thatto emerged victorious 64-4. Tara Stanley topped the point scoring charts for the day with four goals and eight goals, there were a further two tries for Alex Simpson, Faye Gaskin and Sammi Simpson. Thatto’s Jenny Welsby and Naomi Williams also crossed for one each. Bradford’s try came courtesy of Hayley Fields.
