Rugby League – Associations Cup – 19 July 2015 – Update

On 19th July the final round of fixtures of the Associations Cup took place, and with their win against England Universities and Colleges it was the Lionesses who scooped the trophy.

On the 28th June,the second round of fixtures took place and on Armed Forces Day England Universities and Colleges took on Great Britain Armed Forces in the Pankhurst Cup Match, at the Provident Stadium, as a prelude to the Bradford Bulls v Batley Bulldogs game.  The Bulls provided a day of packed entertainment in honour of our Armed Forces which involved the presentation of the Pankhurst Cup and a Spitfire fly-past.  It should have been a day of glory for the Armed Forces but the England Universities and Colleges spoiled the party with a convincing 40 points victory.

In the other fixture the Lionesses continued their ominous form with a 36-18 win over the GB Teachers.
