The England squad for the upcoming home International Series against Trinidad & Tobago has been announced this afternoon.
This will be the final occasion that England competes on home soil ahead of the Netball World Cup which will be hosted in Sydney this summer.
Tracey Neville leads the side for the first time since her appointment as interim Head Coach and has named a squad that is missing some big names due to playing commitments in the ANZ Championships.
Sonia Mkoloma returns to the England squad for the first time since the 2011 World Netball Championships in Singapore. Sally Butters is included in the Netball Europe squad. Despite being born in Australia, the Yorkshire Jets mid-courter is a British passport holder and qualifies for selection through her English father.
The squad selected for the May Series against Trinidad & Tobago is as follows;
Sara Bayman, Sam Cook, Pamela Cookey, Kadeen Corbin, Sasha Corbin, Rachel Dunn, Stacey Francis, Layla Guscoth, Natalie Haythornthwaite, Helen Housby, Laura Malcolm, Sonia Mkoloma*
Reserves: Sophia Candappa and Naida Hutchinson*
Following the International Series, England head to Belfast to compete in the 2015 Netball Europe Open against nations including South Africa and Trinidad & Tobago.
