Manchester Thunder is delighted to announce that five of their players have been selected for the England U21 long squad, ahead of a tour to Australia in July. The focus for this age group is now the upcoming Netball Europe U21 Championships which is to be staged in Scotland this October.
This will provide an early opportunity for the England U21 squad to come together as they start their journey to the 2017 World Youth Championships which will be held in Botswana.
These athletes have been invited to take part in a training weekend at the start of April after which the final
selection for the tour will take place.
The team will head to Melbourne as guests of Netball Victoria with a proposed competition format including several talented local sides. This will provide an opportunity to experience playing against a different style and intensity of competition.
