Yeovil Town Ladies FC manager Jamie Sherwood has secured the signing of highly rated young international Sammy Quayle.
Quayle who is a Welsh U19 International, has recently joined Yeovil and is another promising youngster to join the Lady Glovers. Quayle was previously playing at Women’s Premier League side Coventry City Ladies FC, before she put pen to paper to join the Lady Glovers.
Sherwood was pleased to announce the signing and said “Sammy can play either as a wide player, or as a full back and gives us great versatility. She is young and hard working but shows real maturity. I am excited by the potential she will be able to bring.”
Quayle is registered just in time for the game at Huish Park on Sunday, where the green and whites welcome Millwall Lionesses, which saw the two sides share the points in a 2-2 draw in May.
Quayle commented by saying “I am excited to be signing for Yeovil and extremely grateful to Jamie for giving me the opportunity to play at a higher level. Its a great club with a great group of girls and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings.”
You can see if Quayle is in the squad for Sunday’s game at Huish Park, when the Lady Glovers face Millwall Lionesses in a 2.00pm KO. Tickets can be purchased here costing £4.00 adults / £2.50 concessions.
