  • +1

Somerset all rounder, Amelie Munday will leave the Club this winter.

The 22-year-old all-rounder worked her way through the Middlesex Pathway system before making her List A and T20 debuts for Hertfordshire in 2019. Her Middlesex debut came in 2021. The following year she joined the Western Storm Academy and made her first appearance for Devon.

The former University of Exeter student, who is a top order batter who bowls medium-fast pace, featured in six Vitality Blast fixtures for the Club this season.

Regarding her time with Somerset, Amelie said: “It means a lot to be able to be a part of Somerset’s first professional women’s team. It’s such a shame to be leaving but now it’s time to focus on getting through ACL rehab and hopefully I can get back to playing cricket next year.”

Somerset Director of Cricket, Andy Hurry added: “Amélie has shown great commitment and professionalism throughout her time with us. While her opportunities on the field have been limited, she has brought great energy, enthusiasm, and support to the squad, making a valued contribution to our inaugural season as a professional team.

“We would like to thank her for everything she has given to the Club and wish her every success in the future, both on and off the field.”
