Metro Bank One-Day Cup – league two match 41

  • +1

Derbyshire Falcons vs Sussex Sharks women (match 41, league two) at the Central Co-Op County Ground Derby on Saturday 30 August 2025 (10h30)

Dead rubber, with insufficient points for either team to make progress beyond the competition’s group stage. Sharks women’s top-scorers Daisy Mullan – pictured wearing Lancs colours [82*not out (from 101 balls)] partnered by Nancy Harman [53*not out (from 59 balls)] added 129 runs for Sharks third wicket, before rain intervened. Once Umpires set a revised target, it became clear there was no need to continue as Sharks batters had done more than enough to win the rain-affected match. Earlier, Falcons top-scorers Lara Shaw 57(from 76) and Megan Pittman 47(from 69) had batted together for eight overs, but only two other Falcons batters reached double-figures. Sharks best bowler was Lottie Curling who took a ’3-fer’ (taking 3 wickets/conceding 17 runs.) In summary, adverse weather brought about a premature end.
