Harlequins extend contracts with Chisholm and Halsey

Harlequins have announced that Ross Chisholm and Steve Halsey have signed new contracts with the Club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Chisholm, who retired from a 14-year playing career for Quins at the end of the 2022/23 season, moved into a full-time coaching role with Harlequins Women last year. Operating as Attack and Transition Coach, Chisholm is an integral part of Head Coach Amy Turner’s high-performance structure.

Steve Halsey joined Quins from former Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby side, Worcester Warriors. The experienced Forwards Coach, who has worked with both Loughborough Lightning and England U20s previously, made the move to South West London in November last year.

Commenting on his renewal, Ross Chisholm said “Quins is the club I have been at since I was 18. I am both honoured and excited to continue my coaching journey at such a world famous and respected club!

“I have loved working with the girls this season. We have some exciting talent at the club and I am determined to play my part in our future success!”

Steve Halsey said “I’m excited to be signing a new contract with Quins. The long-term plans and culture implemented by Amy and the support of the wider club makes it an exciting time to be part of our women’s programme. We have some exciting young players coming through that I’m really looking forward to working with alongside our talented senior squad.”

Harlequins Head Coach Amy Turner said “We’re pleased to have both Ross and Steve renew with the Club. They’re fantastic coaches but even better humans, and bring a lot to this environment both on and off the field.

“Ross has been central to us rediscovering our DNA this season and has brought a wealth of experience to our attack. Steve’s impact on our set piece has been great, his detail around the lineout has undoubtedly elevated it to being one of the strongest areas of our game.”
