Kent walked off with the SE England Vitality T20 championship, enjoying an unbeaten run of six matches. The one disappointment was a rained-off clash with Sussex on 16 May at the Mote Maidstone.
But a week earlier they crossed the Thames to Chelmsford to beat Essex twice soundly.

Their young head coach Dave Hathrill praised the squad for their fine performances. It was a team effort, combining the experience of the senior players with highly promising contributions for teenagers such as kalea Moore (9 wickets with her off-spin) and Grace Scrivens (top scorer in the SE with 191 runs in six knocks). They had no need of their absent England players, Tammy Beaumont, Tash Farrant and Fran Wilson, and Alice Davidson-Richards took over captaincy duties.
The Women’s London Championship gets under way at the start of June.
The climax for women’s cricket in Kent comes on Sunday 26 September when England take on New Zealand at the Spitfire Ground Canterbury.
