Harlequins Women have confirmed the signing of Italian international Sara Mannini.
Centre Mannini made her senior international debut against Japan in 2024 having represented her country at U18 and U20 level.
Mannini was named in the Italian squad that played in the 2025 Rugby World Cup and featured in every game for her country during the 2026 Guinness Women’s Six Nations.
Mannini joins Harlequins from Rugby Colorno 1975, after being named as the Serie A Elite Player of the Season for 2025/26, helping Rugby Colorno 1975 reach the semi-finals.
Comfortable at centre and at fly-half, Mannini is a player with plenty of talent and a natural ability to create space on the pitch, with an impressive passing and kicking game.
After confirming her arrival in TW2, Mannini said: “Joining Harlequins is a significant step in my career. I have always admired the Harlequins’ style of play and the level of the PWR, and I am truly looking forward to testing myself at the highest level. I’m excited to start this new adventure and grateful for this opportunity to grow alongside this team.”
Head Coach Ross Chisholm added: “We’re really excited to welcome Sara to Harlequins. She is a young player but already has plenty of international experience and is able to play in a number of positions.”
“I thought she was particularly impressive for Italy during the Six Nations and feel that she is going to be able to continue developing as a player here at Quins. She is a great distributor of the ball and also has great work rate in defence. I’m looking forward to working with her next season.”
With thanks to Harlequins
