Harlequins Women have announced a trio of re-signings ahead of the 26-27 season.

Back three players Lauren Torley, Katie Shillaker and Grace Crompton have all recommitted to the Quarters, as next season’s squad continues to take shape.

Lauren Torley has made 33 appearances for Harlequins, including 13 this season in both the PWR and PWR Cup. She has scored 7 tries across the campaign and has established herself as an important and dependable member of this Harlequins side.

Torley said: “Harlequins has been a home for me throughout my rugby journey. I love the people, the club, and I genuinely can’t think of a better place to continue this journey. We’ve got a special group here, and as this team continues to grow, I truly believe there’s a lot of success ahead next season and beyond. I’m excited to be part of that journey and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”

Katie Shillaker is a player who has come through the Harlequins Centre of Excellence. She was a key member of the PWR Cup squad this season, crossing for tries in both the semi-final against Bristol Bears and final against Saracens. That competition also saw her play for Harlequins at Horsham RFC, her first club, completing a full-circle moment for the talented wing. This season, she has also captained the GB 7s squad, continuing to nurture her talent on the 7s stage.

After confirming her stay in TW2, Shillaker said: “I’m excited to be wearing the Quarters again next season. This is a special Club that means a lot to me. I’m looking forward to continuing to develop and learn in the environment and excited for what next season holds.”

Finally, Grace Crompton has also extended her stay at Harlequins ahead of next season. Crompton has done well to recover from a serious injury and returned to the 7s Circuit with GB 7s this season.

Having started her rugby journey at Cobham RFC and grown up with Harlequins as her local club, Crompton is thrilled to be extending her stay at the Club. “I’m super excited to be sticking around at Harlequins. This Club has always allowed me to enjoy every part of the game, representing GB 7s alongside club rugby. Being able to value and grow in both forms of the game means a lot to me. Harlequins is my local club and one with so much history, and I’m proud to continue wearing the shirt and representing this team in front of our amazing supporters.”

Head Coach Ross Chisholm is pleased to have tied down the exciting trio ahead of the new campaign.

“It’s great to have three young, talented back-three players commit to the Club for next season. We’ve seen how they’ve all developed throughout the season and, during the PWR Cup where Katie and Lauren were important parts of the side that made the final. Grace has recovered well from a serious injury and alongside Katie and Lauren, has been an important player for GB 7s this season. We’re looking forward to all three players being back in the Quins environment and putting in performances in the Quarters.”

With thanks to Harlequins
