Somerset vs Hampshire Hawks (women) (match 34, league one – ‘stand-alone’ fixture) at Queen’s Park Chesterfield, on Friday 4 July 2025 

Hawks women ‘made a strong start’ taking four Blaze wickets during their ‘power-play’ but became ‘frustrated’ by the hosts’ resilience. Top-scorer Heather Graham [73 runs(from 47 balls)] partnered by Ella Claridge -pictured 51*not out(from 36 balls) placed The Blaze ‘back on the winning trail.’ By comparison, scores were almost level-pegging by mid-way, erasing Hawks women’s earlier advantage. Scots skipper Kathryn Bryce was ‘pick-of-the-bowlers,’ taking a match-winning 4-fer (taking four wickets/conceding 13 runs.) Following the match result, The Blaze move level on points with Surrey, in equal first place (at time of writing.)
