Harlequins Women have made two changes to the starting XV for Sunday’s clash with Exeter Chiefs (Sunday 2 February, 12:45 – live on TNT Sports).
This is another mouthwatering clash in the PWR run-in, between two sides right in the thick of the top four battle.
Both Harlequins and Exeter tasted defeat last weekend and will be determined to rediscover the winning feeling, with just three rounds of the regular season remaining.
The pack is unchanged from last weekend’s match against Saracens, whilst the backs see two personnel changes. At fly-half, Ella Cromack comes in to start, whilst Lagi Tuima returns to captain the side at outside centre.
A reshuffle in the backs sees Sarah Parry move to outside centre and Clàudia Peña move to the right wing.
Amongst the replacements, there is a return to the side for Scotland international Sarah Bonar, whilst Dutch international Isa Prins could make her debut for the club, should she make her way onto the pitch.
It could also be a milestone day for Beth Wilcock, who is set to make her 50th appearance for the club.
Head Coach Ross Chisholm is eager for his side to get back to playing the way they know they can this weekend. “Last weekend wasn’t the performance we wanted to put in, but one bad result doesn’t define a team. We want to play the way we know we can play, so it’s about making sure we play well this weekend and play in that Harlequins way.”
“We’ve had some really good conversations this week about being at the level we want to be at. We know the threats that Exeter will pose this weekend, but we feel that we have learnt some really valuable lessons from that Saracens game to take into this one.”
