The boats will take centre stage on Day Six of the Paris Olympics, as gold medals will be won in rowing, canoeing and sailing.
Rowing
After Team GB’s first rowing gold of the Games on Wednesday, there are three more up for grabs on Thursday.
Flagbearer and two-time Olympic champion Helen Glover will be among those going for gold, as the women’s coxless four go at 11:50 CET.
Glover, alongside Esme Booth, Samantha Redgrave and Rebecca Shorten, won their heat to qualify fastest for the final.
The men’s coxless four will also go for gold at 12:10; Oli Wilkes, David Ambler, Matt Aldridge and Freddie Davidson qualified second in their heat.
Before that, Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne and Becky Wilde are in action at 11:30 in the women’s doubles sculls, after coming second in their semi-final.
Canoe Slalom
Rio 2016 gold medallist Joe Clarke takes to the water on Thursday as he looks to continue Team GB’s impressive record in the canoe slalom at Paris 2024.
The 31-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent qualified fourth for the men’s K1 semi-final, which takes place at 15:30.
The top 12 of 22 runners qualify for tomorrow’s final, which takes place at 17:30.
Clarke said: “I called it in the press before the Games that we’d do well and that prediction is going well so far. We’ve been an absolute powerhouse so far and long may it continue.”
Judo
Emma Reid is the latest of Team GB’s judoka to take to the mat; she is in action against Hyunji Yoon of South Korea in the women’s -78kg category.
The 29-year-old already has Commonwealth Games gold and World Championship bronze under her belt, despite only turning becoming a full-time judoka in 2021.
Reid is second on mat two for her round of 32 match, with the day’s action starting at 10:00 and the gold medal will be won by 19:00.
Sailing
There are two medals to be won on Thursday and plenty of other sailing action taking place.
Team GB’s James Peters and Fynn Sterritt will be participating in the men’s skiff medal race, as they sit seventh through 12 races.
The women’s skiff medal race will not include Team GB’s Freya Black and Saskia Tidey, who finished their 12 races in 16th.
Meanwhile, Emma Wilson will go into the penultimate day of the women’s windsurfing top of the standings after Wednesday’s marathon double points race was abandoned.
Wilson won three of the four races have taken place, leaving her on 11 points from 11 races, 19 points clear of her nearest rival.
Sam Sills will also be in men’s windsurfing action as he has climbed into eighth in the standings through ten races, leaving him well-placed to reach the quarter-finals on Friday.
And the men’s and women’s dinghy both get underway on Thursday, with Michael Beckett and Hannah Snellgrove respectively in action.
Elsewhere, artistic gymnasts Alice Kinsella and Georgia-Mae Fenton will compete in the women’s all-around final and athletics begins as Callum Wilkinson is in action in the men’s 20km walk.
The men’s golf gets underway with Tommy Fleetwood and Matt Fitzpatrick representing Team GB, there will be more tennis action as the doubles reach the quarter-finals stage and BMX racing Beth Shriever kicks off her gold medal defence.
