Harlequins name side for Saracens at StoneX Stadium

  • +1

Amy Turner has made just two changes to the side that ran in an impressive nine tries against Sale last weekend at The Stoop, as Quins look to continue their form in the London Derby against Saracens.

Silvia Turani shifts to loosehead in the absence of Hannah Sims who picked up a knee injury last weekend against Sale, and Connie Powell comes into the front-row at hooker.

Sarah Bonar moves back into the second-row and will partner Springbok Women’s Danelle Lochner in the engine room. It’s a welcome return to the Starting XV for Emily Robinson who is named on the flank.

Emily Scott captains the side from fly-half with Lucy Packer inside her at nine, and Lagi Tuima partners Izzy Mayhew in the centres.

Fresh from her player of the match performance last Sunday, Ellie Kildunne starts at 15 alongside Beth Wilcock in the back three, the pair racked up an impressive seven tries between them last weekend against Sale.

Harlequins Head Coach Amy Turner said: “We were proud of last week’s result, it’s testament to the hard work of this squad to bounce back and put in a performance like that at home.

“We’re relishing another London derby this weekend against Saracens, it’s a fixture that the players are always up for and this week is no different. We’re prepared for a physical battle and know we need to meet Saracens head on and start well if we’re going to come away with a result at Stonex”.
