Six Nations Rugby has appointed Hannah Bowe, who will join the business in early December, to take up the newly created position of Chief of Staff.

In her new role, Bowe will play a vital role in the delivery of the organisation’s vision and strategy, supporting Chief Executive Officer, Tom Harrison, and in collaboration with the wider executive team.

Six Nations Rugby exists to serve its shareholders, namely its six unions, and as Chief of Staff, Bowe will be a critical link with this group, implementing a strategy that is designed to drive the business and the global game forward.

Bowe joins Six Nations Rugby from Sky Sports’ commercial team, where she was primarily responsible for rights acquisitions across its sports portfolio including men’s and women’s football, F1, tennis and rugby. Prior to her three years at Sky Sports, Bowe was a Director at Esportif (now part of Wasserman), overseeing the company’s strategic insights and consulting division, investment work-streams, and relationships with unions, clubs, and competitions.

Bowe also holds Non-Executive Director positions with the Professional Cricketers’ Association and England Lacrosse.

Commenting on Bowe’s appointment, Tom Harrison, said: “It’s a hugely exciting time for international rugby union and Six Nations Rugby has a key role to play in bringing the opportunity to life for fans, players, and our partners’.

Hannah will be a great addition to our team; she brings strong and relevant experience across a variety of leading organisations, perfectly setting her up to play a central role in delivering our strategy.

Everyone across our business is looking forward to welcoming her to the team.”

Hannah Bowe, newly appointed Chief of Staff at Six Nations Rugby, added: “The opportunity to join Six Nations Rugby at such a significant point in time for the business and the sport is one I simply couldn’t say no to. The Six Nations Championships are iconic, and corner-stone appointments in players and fans’ sporting calendars all over the world each year. Coupled with the strength of the Six Nations Rugby brand and the board’s vision, there is huge growth potential. I am looking forward to working with the wider Six Nations Rugby team, its unions and partners in realising that potential.”
