Harlequins have confirmed that Beth Wilcock has extended her contract with the Club.

The 22-year-old, who started on the left wing in the 2020/21 title win over Saracens, has put pen to paper on a new multi-year contract to remain in Quins colours.

Renowned for her speed, Wilcock originally joined the Club in 2019 before earning a call-up to the England 7s programme. She was part of the England U18 squad that finished runners-up at the Rugby Europe 7s Championship and made her senior England 7s debut in June 2019.

Wilcock re-joined Quins in October 2020 and featured prominently throughout the title-winning season, playing a key role as Quins beat Saracens 25-17 in the Final. She has also represented England U20 and was called into the Red Roses squad for the 2021 Six Nations.

Speaking on her new contract, Wilcock said: “I’m grateful and honoured to have my contract extended with Quins after a tough couple of years with back-to-back injuries. I’m ready to give back to the Club everything they’ve put into me. Next season is going to be exciting and I’m ready for it.”

Harlequins Women Attack and Transition Coach Ross Chisholm, said: “Beth is a talented athlete. She has great speed, plays with tempo and is a strong competitor. She’s had a tough run with injury, but she’s worked hard to get herself fit and ready to go. We’re excited that she’s staying at Quins and looking forward to her impact next season.”

Wilcock’s re-signing follows the confirmation of new contracts for Red Roses Lucy Packer, Ellie Kildunne and Emily Scott, Scottish duo Jade Konkel and Sarah Bonar, and exciting trio Rosie Dobson, Izzy Mayhew and Freya Aucken.

Additional announcements are scheduled over the coming days which will underpin the Club’s strategy to develop the strongest women’s programme in the Northern Hemisphere.
