Harlequins have confirmed that hooker Rosie Dobson has signed a new multi-year contract.
The 21-year-old, who joined Harlequins from Richmond in 2020, featured six times in her debut season and was a member of the 2020/21 title winning squad. She also represented England U20 in 2021, before earning selection for the 2022 U20 Six Nations.
In 2022/23, Dobson made 19 Quins appearances from a possible 22 matches, crossing for an impressive five tries.
Commenting on her new contract, Rosie said: “I’m really excited to be signing a new contract. I never thought I would get the chance to sign for Quins, let alone sign for my fourth season at the Club. I love Quins and can’t wait to continue developing my game next season.”
Head Coach Amy Turner added: “We’re delighted Rosie has extended her contract. She’s a talented player who worked hard last season to develop her game and become a consistent member of our squad. She has an exciting future in front of her and we’re confident she’s ready to make another strong impact heading into next season.”
The announcement follows the re-signing of Red Roses Ellie Kildunne and Emily Scott, Scottish duo Jade Konkel and Sarah Bonar, and exciting backs Izzy Mayhew and Freya Aucken.
Further announcements are due in the coming days which will continue to underline the Club’s plan to develop the strongest women’s rugby programme in the Northern Hemisphere.
