Kent Women Captain Tammy Beaumont has become the first homegrown Kent cricketer, regardless of gender, to score a century across all three international formats.
The right-hander reached three figures for the first time in Women’s Test cricket in the first Women’s Ashes encounter of 2023 at Trent Bridge – having reached her hundred in 152 deliveries with 16 fours.
Her final score of 208 is the highest ever total from any Kent Women batter in Women’s Tests, & also the highest ever Women’s Test score of any England batter – a feat achieved in 523 minutes, 331 balls and with 27 fours.
Dover-born Beaumont’s double century joins her multiple hundreds across other international formats – she now has 11 overall, with nine in Women’s ODIs & one Women’s IT20 century to match.
First reaching a century for England back in 2016 in a WODI against Pakistan at Worcester, Beaumont added a WIT20 ton two years later, in 2018, with 116 against South Africa at Taunton – a 47-ball hundred there turned into her final score five balls later.
Her Test double hundred is also the fifth highest Women’s Test score of all time.
