Shaunagh Brown has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now undertaking a seven-day isolation period as required by New Zealand government regulation.
The Red Roses prop reported symptoms, subsequently tested positive and began her self-isolation period on Sunday. Brown will miss this Saturday’s opening 2021 Rugby World Cup match against Fiji.
Brown had been sharing a room with Sadia Kabeya, who returned a positive test last week and has now completed her seven-day isolation period.
Following New Zealand government protocols, a full round of testing of players and staff was completed on Friday 30 September and no further positive tests were returned at this time.
