Summary

Dead-rubber match in which four players from each side made double-figures. Lightning’s Kathryn Bryce scored a skipper’s ’ton,’ bagged two wickets and took one catch. Later in the match, fellow Scots International Kirstie Gordon took a 4-fer. Sophie Munro ‘topped-up’ Lightning’s total. For Sunrisers, Joanne Gardner took a 3-fer. Grace Scrivens scored ‘fifty’ and took one wicket. Debutante Jodie Grewcock not only took a ‘brilliant’ catch to dismiss Kathryn Bryce, but also made second-best score for her team. Although Sunrisers were a nose ahead after their ten-overs power play, any perceived advantage evaporated when four Sunrisers’ wickets fell for just one run. Loss of another three wickets for three runs left tail-enders with ‘too much to do.’ Neither team can progress beyond their group stage with at least one more round to play.
