Harlequins has announced that Scottish international duo Jade Konkel-Roberts and Sarah Bonar have re-signed with Harlequins ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Both forwards are set to feature at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand in the coming months and will return to Quins as the side prepares for the 2022/23 Allianz Premier 15s season.
Konkel-Roberts re-signs with Quins after putting in strong showings throughout the 21/22 season which included a Player of the Match performance away at Saracens as Harlequins broke the North London club’s two-year undefeated home record. Entering her fifth season at the Club, the back-row is looking forward to the 22/23 campaign and is aiming to help the side lift the Premier 15s title once again.
After putting pen to paper, Konkel-Roberts said: “I’m very excited to be re-signing with Quins for my fifth season at the Club. There’s a super exciting year ahead with the aim of building on previous years’ success and working hard to get our place back in the final!”
Lock Sarah Bonar will enter her second campaign in South West London after joining from West Country side Gloucester-Hartpury last year. After a stop-start debut season in the Famous Quarters due to an ankle injury sustained in early 2022, the Scottish second-row is looking forward to the 22/23 campaign.
Bonar commented: “I’m really excited to re-sign with the Club. I’ve found myself a home and group of players that I love training and playing with. I’m excited to kick on this coming season and can’t wait to continue to develop my skills and become a better player.”
With thanks to Harlequins
