Charlie Dean was Player of the Match as Southern Vipers won the Charlotte Edwards Cup by six wickets at Northampton.
Dean – who had earlier taken the key wickets of Eve Jones and Amy Jones – and Ella McClaughan (30*) put on 41 for the fifth wicket as Vipers won their first Charlotte Edwards Cup title, to join the two Rachael Heyhoe Flint trophies already in their cabinet.
Earlier, Sparks had worked their way past South East Stars in a tense play-off. Sparks’ Amy Jones was awarded Player of the Tournament.
Dean said: “I think it was a great game for the girls. We’re really buzzing. We really wanted to take the Charlotte Edwards Trophy home and we’ve done that.
“I bowled alright throughout the competition and I’ve backed that up today, and to be not out at the end there was really brilliant.”
Southern Vipers 110-4 beat Central Sparks 109-8 by six wickets
