Harlequins Women have announced that England international Ellie Kildunne has joined the Club ahead of the 2021/22 Allianz Premier 15s season.

The 21-year-old full-back joins the South West London Club looking to build on a blistering start to her career, featuring fourteen times for the Red Roses winning three Women’s 6 Nations titles along the way.

In the summer of 2018, the speedy back made the transition to the England Women’s Sevens team, qualifying for the 2020 Olympics before returning to 15s and joining Wasps Ladies in September 2020.

After putting pen to paper, the full-back said: “I’m really excited to be joining Harlequins Women ahead of the 2021/22 Allianz Premier 15s season. There are a lot of talented players at the Club, and I can’t wait to get going. Whilst at Quins I would love to reach a new level of my game and I feel that is possible with all the coaching on offer.

“I’ve spoken to Shaunagh [Brown] about the Club and she had only positive things to say so I can’t wait to experience the great culture they have at Quins, meet all my new teammates and aim to defend the Allianz Premier 15s title.”

Head Coach Gerard Mullen is absolutely thrilled to welcome Kildunne to Quins and can’t wait to start working with her.

Mullen said: “I’m delighted to be able to welcome Ellie Kildunne to Harlequins! Ellie is currently one of the best prospects in world rugby and it demonstrates the intent that Harlequins are showing in order to maintain their position at the forefront of the Women’s game.

“She is an exciting and highly threatening player who will bring tempo to the squad which reflects the way want to Quins play, and I can’t wait to begin working with her and develop her into one of the best players in the world!”
