Red Bull Half Court is back and looking for the UK’s best streetballers to ball it out on 26th June at Turnpike Lane, London.
Red Bull Half Court gives men and women from across the globe the opportunity to showcase their talent and become world champions by playing high-octane offense and landing buckets from all over the court. The London Finals will see streetballers from up and down the country flock to North London for their shot at glory.
The national champs will also bag themselves a spot to represent the UK at the World Finals in Russia this autumn as well as the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet the world’s best 3 on 3 baller, Dušan Bulut from Serbia
With 15,000 teams from more than 20 nations expected to participate, Half Court is fiercely contested and the most global streetball tournament on the planet, Teams advance by winning games and their groups, but there’s also a twist, with the Own the Court Bonus, which is awarded to the team in each group that has scored the most points cumulatively across the games. So even if you don’t win the most games, you might still make it through if you keep your offence going right to the end.
2019’s reigning UK champions, Milly from Sharks said: “It’s a type of basketball I had never experienced before. The unique format and tournament rules provided us a platform to play with other teams from different locations. The crowd was absolutely amazing and playing the international finals was an experience of a life time.”
Sports Director Paul Gudde of Germany commented: “We are extremely happy and proud to tip off the new season with this tremendous player response, especially in these challenging times. Our vision is to give wings to the local streetball scene and enable ballers around the world to revamp their courts.”
