Wasps secured a five pointer on the road against DMP Durham Sharks to make it two victories in shark infested waters in as many weekends.
Their last meeting with DMP Durham Sharks saw Wasps put 105 points on the northern side denying the opposition of any points. Despite the win, today’s match saw a very different story and a very different opposition to the team faced back in 2020.
DMP Durham Sharks put on a strong performance, shutting Wasps down and bagging two tries of their own in the second half.
It was Blacklock who secured all 14 of DMP’s points, first with an intercept on the half way, beating Wasps back three to the line and second from a penalty on Wasps try line.
Wasps scored 5 tries that led them to their victory. In the first half Alder, West and Kabeya made it across the whitewash which led the half time score to 15-0.
In the second it was the speed of Boatman on the wing and West again with power in the forwards that secured the bonus point for Wasps.
Credit where credit is due, today saw an epic performance from the opposition who currently sit 10th in the table. However, Wasps came in search of 5 points and hit the road home having completed that search.
