This weekend sees Wasps take on Harlequins in the rescheduled fixture from the beginning of the year. After securing a home win against Worcester for their first game of 2021, and missing out on last weekend’s planned journey north to face DMP Sharks- the team could not be more ready to take on Harlequins who currently sit one ahead of them at third in the table.
In their last fixture, Wasps secured a six try win over a strong Worcester Warriors side. Muir, Crake, Williams, Dow, Quansah and Mitchelson all added to the points board, along with Jones converting 5 out of 6 of those tries.
In their last meeting with Harlequins, Wasps had an impressive start but fell short to the opposition in their first game of this season which ended in a 31-12 defeat. Mather has named a team who will be looking to improve on their previous meeting with a chance of leap frogging ahead of Harlequins in the table.
In the forwards, Millar-Mills moves into second row and Molloy pushes back to no. 8 in the pack and Kabeya returns to the field in the 7 shirt. We also see Burton return from injury as a replacement back row.
There is little change in the starting backs line up from the previous Worcester- Alder leads from 12 with Wilson Hardy outside of her and Graham and Jones in the decision making shirts at 9 and 10.
In line with RFU and Government guidelines this fixture will be played behind closed doors so be sure to keep up to date with all the match activity via our social media channels. The game will also be streamed live and can be watched from the comfort of your sofa via the below links.
