Wasps host top of the league Saracens in the final league fixture of the year. Wasps find themselves cut adrift in fourth position and are yet to pick up a victory against the sides above them in the league. However, Wasps are one of only two teams that have beaten Saracens since the formation of the Tyrrell’s Premier 15s with a 5-0 victory at Twyford Avenue last season.
Wasps come into the fixture in good form having won their previous two league games convincingly, only conceding five points from the two fixtures. They are also yet to lose a fixture at Twyford Avenue this season, with three victories at their home ground.
The hosts have made four changes to the side that sealed a 48-5 win at Worcester Valkyries last weekend. In the sole change in the backline Katie Mason returns on the wing after an impressive performance in the development side last weekend, picking up two tries in the process.
Sarah Mitchelson will earn a remarkable 175th cap for Wasps Ladies as she returns to the starting line-up in the backrow.
In the front row Amy Cokayne picks up her first start of the season at hooker after a great performance off the bench last week against Worcester where she picked up a score. She is joined in the front row by Hannah West and Kanyinsola Adefemiwa-afilaka who picks up her fifth start of the season.
The visitors lie top of the table having only lost one fixture this season at Harlequins back in October. They have a remarkable record with the highest points scored in the league and fewest conceded by a substantial margin. Their star-studded squad includes a host of internationals, with a number of Red Roses who performed well during the Quilter Internationals, Wasps can be sure of a tough competition at the weekend.
