After coming from 22-7 down at the break to secure a brilliant 24-22 victory against Bristol Bears last weekend, Richmond are on the hunt for a third win of the season as they make the long trip up to Firwood Waterloo this Sunday.
The hosts had a tight game of their own last weekend, scraping past Worcester Valkyries by a point, and Richmond are out for revenge after losing 24-12 to Waterloo earlier in the season – three tries in four minutes doing for the Londoners on that occasion.
This is a different and more settled side now, though, and with that in mind, head coach Jonathan Griffin has opted for minimal changes from last weekend. Cerys Lawrence comes into the number six shirt, with Grace Moore dropping to the bench, while Jade Wong comes in to retake her spot in the centres. Tess Braunerova, meanwhile, has started the majority of games at nine, and brings her experience to the shirt in what should be a tight encounter.
With a powerful front five, a big ball-carrying back three – Libby Povey and Anna Caplice both caused chaos against Bristol last weekend – and a back line who want to move the ball and get into space, Richmond are ready to pick up a second away win of the season.
