After suffering a narrow loss to Harlequins Women back at Twyford Avenue last Saturday, Wasps FC Ladies go into the second play off fixture with just a 6-point deficit.
The intense game which ended 19-25 saw show stopping chase downs and stunning tries. Liz Crake’s try opened the game just 6 minutes in, with Louise Dodd and Abby Dow crossing the line in the second half for Wasps FC Ladies. The game stood at 19-20 until the final minute, where Fi Pocock of Harlequins snuck in on the corner to end the game.
Ready to take to the grass at Twickenham Stoop, your Wasps FC Ladies team sees little change from last week. We see Claire Purdy in the starting No. 1 shirt with Hannah West starting on the flank. In the back line we see the same seven man army, with Captain Kate Alder leading from 12.
It is a massive weekend ahead for the Swarm, and a fine opportunity ahead of them to take that place in the final!
